EMI

$1,700.00

36” x 48”

Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
1st in a series of 5. The music that shaped me.

Never Mind The Bollocks had a major impact on me, and an influence that has lasted to this day. The look, sound and early message of punk rock was life changing, and spoke directly to  young John. Remembering the first time I heard it can only be described as life changing.

The iconic pink, green and black is forever sononimous with the debut and only album released by the Sex Pistols. The title of this piece is EMI, signifying the first label to sign the band, but subsequently dropping them from the label before the album was released in 1977 by Virgin. The first of 5 pivotal years in the history of my music
